Our cooling system wasn’t performing well enough so we called Goldstar Plumbing. The really nice technician from helped us understand contributing factors to our issue and gave us an immediate way to improve our situation as well as useful suggestions ...for what to do in the future. I also greatly appreciated the level of detail from the customer experience team in letting me know who was coming and when. I’ll call them again in the future if the need arises 👍
The tech didn't seem to know anything about the oil burner, took many pictures and spent about 10 minutes in his truck coming up with "options". The cheapest option was over $800, and went up to thousands. When I told him "no way", he asked if I wanted ...him to try to get a cheaper price. Slomins quoted me $367 for the job. I was charged $161 for a "service call". What a scam. I got the feeling the tech just didn't know how to fix the problem.
They didn't pressure me into doing the job or try to sell me any service agreements but they were extremely overpriced. When they found out I was upset they did reach out to me and tried to explain why it was so pricey.

They really take the time to explain the service and what’s wrong and will answer any questions you might ...have. I wish more companies knew how to do business like this!
Ty was great! He checked the entire system and then discuss solutions the problems found. I never felt pressured into buying any additional services or part. His noted expertise put me at ease with moving forward with Gold Star, if needed.
